2 On a bare hill araise a signal;
cry aloud to them;
wave the hand for bthem to enter

3I myself have commanded my consecrated ones,
and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger,
my proudly exulting ones.
Or those who exult in my majesty

4 The sound dof a tumult is on the mountains
as of a great multitude!
The sound of an uproar of kingdoms,
of nations gathering together!
eThe Lord of hosts is mustering
a host for battle.
5 fThey come from a distant land,
from the end of the heavens,
the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.

Impending Disaster for Jerusalem

from the midst of Jerusalem!

and great destruction.

Merodach is dismayed.

and the people are not afraid?
uDoes disaster come to a city,
unless the Lord has done it?

Zechariah 14:2

2For vI will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and wthe city shall be taken xand the houses plundered yand the women raped. zHalf of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
