Isaiah 13:2-5

2 On a bare hill araise a signal;
cry aloud to them;
wave the hand for bthem to enter
the gates of the nobles.
3I myself have commanded my consecrated ones,
and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger,
my proudly exulting ones.
Or those who exult in my majesty

4 The sound dof a tumult is on the mountains
as of a great multitude!
The sound of an uproar of kingdoms,
of nations gathering together!
eThe Lord of hosts is mustering
a host for battle.
5 fThey come from a distant land,
from the end of the heavens,
the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.
Or earth; also verse 9

and an envoy has been sent among the nations:
i“Gather yourselves together and come against her,
and rise up for battle!

31 j“Rise up, advance against a nation kat ease,
lthat dwells securely,

declares the Lord,
mthat has no gates or bars,

Jeremiah 50:14-16

14 nSet yourselves in array against Babylon all around,
oall you who bend the bow;
shoot at her, spare no arrows,
pfor she has sinned against the Lord.
15 qRaise a shout against her all around;
she has surrendered;
her bulwarks have fallen;
rher walls are thrown down.
For sthis is the vengeance of the Lord:
take vengeance on her;
tdo to her as she has done.
16Cut off from Babylon the sower,
and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest;
ubecause of the sword of the oppressor,
vevery one shall turn to his own people,
and every one shall flee to his own land.
