Isaiah 13:3-5

3I myself have commanded my consecrated ones,
and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger,

4 The sound bof a tumult is on the mountains
as of a great multitude!
The sound of an uproar of kingdoms,
of nations gathering together!
cThe Lord of hosts is mustering
a host for battle.

the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.

Isaiah 41:25

25 jI stirred up one from the north, and he has come,
kfrom the rising of the sun, land he shall call upon my name;
he shall trample on rulers as on mortar,
as the potter treads clay.

Jeremiah 50:9

9For behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon ma gathering of great nations, from the north country. And they shall array themselves against her. From there she shall be taken. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed.

Jeremiah 51:11

oThe Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of pthe Medes, because qhis purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, rfor that is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for shis temple.

Jeremiah 51:27-28

the kings of aethe Medes, afwith their governors agand deputies,
and every ahland under their dominion.

Daniel 5:28-31

28Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to aithe Medes and ajPersians.”
 Peres (the singular of  Parsin) sounds like the Aramaic for  divided and for Persia


29Then alBelshazzar gave the command, and Daniel amwas clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 anThat very night aoBelshazzar the apChaldean king was killed. 31
