Isaiah 13:5

5 aThey come from a distant land,
from the end of the heavens,
the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.

17 Behold, cI am stirring up the Medes against them,
who have no regard for silver
and do not delight in gold.
18 dTheir bows will slaughter
Hebrew dash in pieces
the young men;
they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb;
their eyes will not pity children.

Isaiah 13:20

20 fIt will never be inhabited
or lived in for all generations;
no gArab will pitch his tent there;
no hshepherds will make their flocks lie down there.

Jeremiah 50:9

9For behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon ia gathering of great nations, from the north country. And they shall array themselves against her. From there she shall be taken. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed.
