The Restoration of Jacob

1 ^aFor the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and ^bwill set them in their own land, and ^csojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob. 2 And ^dthe peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the Lord’s land ^eas male and female slaves. ^{▼▼Or servants} ^gThey will take captive those who were their captors, ^hand rule over those who oppressed them.

Isaiah 49:23

23 ⁱKings shall be your foster fathers,
and their queens your nursing mothers.
^jWith their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,
and ^klick the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord;
^lthose who wait for me ^mshall not be put to shame.”
