Isaiah 14:13-15

13You said in your heart,
a‘I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
bI will set my throne on high;
I will sit on the mount of assembly
in the far reaches of the north;
Or  in the remote parts of Zaphon

14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’
15 dBut you are brought down to Sheol,
to the far reaches of the pit.

Lamentations 2:1

The Lord Has Destroyed Without Pity

1 How the Lord in his anger
has set the daughter of Zion eunder a cloud!
fHe has cast down from heaven to earth
the splendor of Israel;
he has not remembered ghis footstool
in the day of his anger.

Ezekiel 28:12-19

12 hSon of man, iraise a lamentation over jthe king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God:

“You were the signet of perfection,
The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain

lfull of wisdom and mperfect in beauty.
13You were in nEden, the garden of God;
oevery precious stone was your covering,
psardius, topaz, and diamond,
beryl, onyx, and jasper,
sapphire,
Or lapis lazuli
remerald, and carbuncle;
and crafted in gold were your settings
and your engravings.
The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain

tOn the day that you were created
they were prepared.
14You were an anointed uguardian cherub.
I placed you;
The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain
you were on wthe holy mountain of God;
in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.
15You were blameless in your ways
xfrom the day you were created,
till unrighteousness was found in you.
16In the abundance of yyour trade
you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned;
so I cast you as a profane thing from zthe mountain of God,
and I destroyed you,
Or banished you
abO guardian cherub,
from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 acYour heart was proud because of adyour beauty;
you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.
I cast you to the ground;
I exposed you before kings,
to feast their eyes on you.
18By the multitude of your iniquities,
in the unrighteousness of your trade
you profaned your sanctuaries;
so aeI brought fire out from your midst;
it consumed you,
and I turned you to ashes on the earth
afin the sight of all who saw you.
19All who know you among the peoples
are appalled at you;
agyou have come to a dreadful end
and shall be no more forever.”

Ezekiel 31:16-17

16 ahI made the nations quake at the sound of its fall, aiwhen I cast it down to Sheol with those who go down to the pit. ajAnd all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, akwere comforted in the world below. 17They also went down to Sheol with it, alto those who are slain by the sword; yes, amthose who were its arm, anwho lived under its shadow among the nations.

Obadiah 4

4Though you soar aloft like the eagle,
though your nest is set among the stars,
from there I will bring you down,

declares the Lord.
