Isaiah 14:16-17

16Those who see you will stare at you
and ponder over you:
‘Is this athe man who made the earth tremble,
who shook kingdoms,
17who made the world like a desert
and overthrew its cities,
bwho did not let his prisoners go home?’

Jeremiah 25:9

9 cbehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, dmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, eand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.

27“Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: agDrink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of ahthe sword that I am sending among you.’

28“And if they refuse to accept the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: aiYou must drink! 29For behold, ajI begin to work disaster at the city that is called by my name, and shall you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, akfor I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the Lord of hosts.’

Habakkuk 2:8-10

8 alBecause you have plundered many nations,
all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you,
amfor the blood of man and anviolence to the earth,
to cities and all who dwell in them.
9 aoWoe to him who gets evil gain for his house,
apto aqset his nest on high,
to be safe from the reach of harm!
10You have devised shame for your house
arby cutting off many peoples;
you have forfeited your life.
