Isaiah 14:23

23“And I will make it a possession of the ahedgehog,
Possibly porcupine, or owl
and pools of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares the Lord of hosts.

Jeremiah 50:3

3For cout of the north a nation has come up against her, dwhich shall make her land a desolation, and none shall dwell in it; eboth man and beast shall flee away.

Jeremiah 50:13

13 fBecause of the wrath of the Lord she shall not be inhabited
but shall be an utter desolation;
geveryone who passes by Babylon shall be appalled,
hand hiss because of all her wounds.

Jeremiah 50:21

21 “Go up against the land of Merathaim,
 Merathaim means double rebellion

and against the inhabitants of Pekod.
 Pekod means punishment

Kill, kand devote them to destruction,
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)


declares the Lord,
and do all that I have commanded you.

Jeremiah 50:39

39 mTherefore wild beasts shall dwell with hyenas in Babylon, and ostriches shall dwell in her. She shall never again have people, nor be inhabited for all generations.

Jeremiah 50:45

45Therefore hear nthe plan that the Lord has made against Babylon, oand the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: pSurely the little ones of their flock shall be dragged away; surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.

Jeremiah 51:25

25 Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain,

declares the Lord,
which destroys the whole earth;
I will stretch out my hand against you,
and roll you down from the crags,
qand make you a burnt mountain.

Jeremiah 51:29

29 rThe land trembles and writhes in pain,
sfor the Lord’s purposes against Babylon stand,
to make the land of Babylon a desolation,
without inhabitant.

Jeremiah 51:43

43Her cities have become a horror,
ta land of drought and a desert,
ua land in which no one dwells,
and through which no son of man passes.

Jeremiah 51:62-64

62and say, ‘O Lord, you have said concerning this place that you will cut it off, so vthat nothing shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, and it shall be wdesolate forever.’ 63When you finish reading this book, x, ytie a stone to it zand cast it into the midst of the Euphrates, 64and say, aaThus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more, because of the disaster that I am bringing upon her, aband they shall become exhausted.’”

Revelation of John 18:21-23

21Then aca mighty angel adtook up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,

So will Babylon aethe great city be thrown down with violence,
and will be found no more;
22and afthe sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters,
will be heard in you no more,
and a craftsman of any craft
will be found in you no more,
and agthe sound of the mill
will be heard in you no more,
23and the light of a lamp
will shine in you no more,
and ahthe voice of bridegroom and bride
will be heard in you no more,
for aiyour merchants were the great ones of the earth,
and all nations were deceived ajby your sorcery.
