Isaiah 14:29-31

29 Rejoice not, aO Philistia, all of you,
that bthe rod that struck you is broken,
for from the serpent’s root will come forth an adder,
and its fruit will be a cflying fiery serpent.
30And the firstborn of dthe poor will graze,
and ethe needy lie down in safety;
but I will kill your root with famine,
and your remnant it will slay.
31 fWail, O ggate; cry out, O city;
melt in fear, hO Philistia, all of you!
iFor smoke comes out of the north,
and there is no straggler in his ranks.

Jeremiah 47

Judgment on the Philistines

1The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet jconcerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck down kGaza.

2 Thus says the Lord:
lBehold, waters are rising mout of the north,
nand shall become an overflowing torrent;
they shall overflow othe land and all that fills it,
the city and those who dwell in it.
Men shall cry out,
and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.
3At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his stallions,
pat the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of their wheels,
the fathers qlook not back to their children,
so feeble are their hands,
4because of the day that is coming to destroy
all rthe Philistines,
to cut off from sTyre and Sidon
every helper that remains.
For the Lord is destroying the Philistines,
tthe remnant of the coastland of uCaphtor.
5 vBaldness has come upon Gaza;
wAshkelon has perished.
O remnant of their valley,
xhow long will you gash yourselves?
6 yAh, sword of the Lord!
How long till you are quiet?
Put yourself into your scabbard;
rest and be still!
7How can it
Septuagint, Vulgate; Hebrew you
be quiet
aawhen the Lord has given it a charge?
Against abAshkelon and against the seashore
ache has appointed it.”

Ezekiel 25:15-17

Prophecy Against Philistia

15Thus says the Lord God: Because adthe Philistines aeacted revengefully and took vengeance afwith malice of soul to destroy in never-ending enmity, 16therefore thus says the Lord God, agBehold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off ahthe Cherethites and destroy the rest of the seacoast. 17I will execute great vengeance on them aiwith wrathful rebukes. ajThen they will know that I am the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon them.”

Joel 3:4-8

4What are you to me, akO Tyre and Sidon, and all althe regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something? If you are paying me back, amI will return your payment on your own head swiftly and speedily. 5For anyou have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my rich treasures into your temples.
Or palaces
6You have sold apthe people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their own border. 7Behold, I will stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and aqI will return your payment on your own head. 8I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the arSabeans, to a nation far away, for the Lord has spoken.”

Zephaniah 2:4-7

4 asFor Gaza shall be deserted,
and Ashkelon shall become a desolation;
Ashdod’s people shall be driven out at noon,
and Ekron shall be uprooted.
5 Woe to atyou inhabitants of the seacoast,
you nation of authe Cherethites!
avThe word of the Lord is against you,
awO Canaan, land of the Philistines;
and I will destroy you axuntil no inhabitant is left.
6 ayAnd you, O seacoast, azshall be pastures,
with meadows
Or caves
for shepherds
and folds for flocks.
7 bbThe seacoast shall become the possession
of bcthe remnant of the house of Judah,
bdon which they shall graze,
and in the houses of Ashkelon
they shall lie down at evening.
For the Lord their God bewill be mindful of them
and bfrestore their fortunes.

Zechariah 9:5-7

5 bgAshkelon shall see it, and be afraid;
Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish;
Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded.
The king shall perish from Gaza;
Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;
6 bha mixed people
Or  a foreign people; Hebrew  a bastard
shall dwell in Ashdod,
and I will cut off the pride of Philistia.
7I will take away bjits blood from its mouth,
and bkits abominations from between its teeth;
blit too shall be a remnant for our God;
it shall be like bma clan in Judah,
and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
