Jeremiah 25:9-14

I will devote them to destruction, nand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. 10Moreover, oI will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, pthe grinding of the millstones and qthe light of the lamp. 11 rThis whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and sthese nations shall serve the king of Babylon tseventy years. 12Then after useventy years are completed, vI will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, wthe land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, declares the Lord, xmaking the land an everlasting waste. 13I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written yin this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. 14 zFor many nations aaand great kings shall make slaves even of them, aband I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

Jeremiah 27:6-7

6 acNow I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, admy servant, aeand I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him. 7 afAll the nations shall serve him and aghis son and ahhis grandson, aiuntil the time of his own land comes. ajThen many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.

Jeremiah 50:22-23
