Isaiah 16:8

8 For the fields of Heshbon languish,
and athe vine of Sibmah;
the lords of the nations
have struck down its branches,
which reached to Jazer
and strayed to the desert;
its shoots spread abroad
and passed over the sea.

Jeremiah 9:17-20

17 Thus says the Lord of hosts:
bConsider, and call for the mourning women to come;
send for the skillful women to come;
18let them make haste cand raise a wailing over us,
dthat our eyes may run down with tears
and our eyelids flow with water.
19For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion:
eHow we are ruined!
We are utterly shamed,
because we have left the land,
because they have cast down our dwellings.’”
20 Hear, O women, the word of the Lord,
and let your ear receive the word of his mouth;
teach to your daughters a lament,
and each to her neighbor a dirge.

Jeremiah 48:31-33

31 fTherefore I wail for Moab;
I cry out for all Moab;
for the men of gKir-hareseth I mourn.
32More than for hJazer I weep for you,
iO vine of jSibmah!
kYour branches passed over the sea,
reached to the Sea of lJazer;
on your summer fruits and your grapes
the destroyer has fallen.
33 mGladness and joy have been taken away
from the fruitful land of Moab;
I have made the wine cease from the winepresses;
no one treads them with shouts of joy;
the shouting is not the shout of joy.

Revelation of John 18:14-20

And sall shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off
18and tcried out uas they saw the smoke of her burning,

19And they threw wdust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out,

Alas, alas, for the great city
xwhere all who had ships at sea
grew rich by her wealth!
For yin a single hour she has been laid waste.
20 zRejoice over her, O heaven,
and you saints and aaapostles and prophets,
