Isaiah 16:9-10

9Therefore aI weep with bthe weeping of Jazer
for the vine of Sibmah;
I drench you with my tears,
O Heshbon and Elealeh;
for over cyour summer fruit and your harvest
the shout has ceased.
10 dAnd joy and gladness are taken away from ethe fruitful field,
and in the vineyards no fsongs are sung,
no cheers are raised;
no gtreader treads out wine hin the presses;
I have put an end to the shouting.

Isaiah 24:7-9

7 iThe wine mourns,
the vine languishes,
all the merry-hearted sigh.
8 jThe mirth of the tambourines is stilled,
the noise of the jubilant has ceased,
the mirth of the lyre is stilled.
9No more do they drink wine kwith singing;
strong drink is bitter to those who drink it.

Jeremiah 25:30

30“You, therefore, shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them:

l“‘The Lord will roar from on high,
and from his holy habitation utter his voice;
he will roar mightily against his fold,
mand shout, like those who tread grapes,
against all the inhabitants of the earth.

Amos 6:3-6

3 nO you who put far away the day of disaster
oand bring near the seat of violence?
4 “Woe to those pwho lie on qbeds of ivory
rand stretch themselves out on their couches,
and eat lambs from the flock
sand calves from the midst of the stall,
5 twho sing idle songs to the sound of the harp
and like David uinvent for themselves instruments of music,
6 vwho drink wine in bowls
and wanoint themselves with the finest oils,
but are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph!
