Isaiah 19:11-14
11 The princes of aZoan are utterly foolish;the wisest counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel.
How can you say to Pharaoh,
“I am a son of the wise,
a son of ancient kings”?
12Where then are your bwise men?
Let them tell you
that they might know what the Lord of hosts has purposed against Egypt.
13The princes of cZoan have become fools,
and the princes of dMemphis are deluded;
those who are the ecornerstones of her tribes
have made Egypt stagger.
14The Lord has mingled within her fa spirit of confusion,
and they will make Egypt stagger in all its deeds,
gas a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
Isaiah 29:14-16
14therefore, behold, hI will againdo wonderful things with this people,
with wonder upon wonder;
and ithe wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”
15 Ah, jyou who hide deep from the Lord your counsel,
whose deeds are kin the dark,
and who say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?”
16 lYou turn things upside down!
Shall the potter be regarded as the clay,
that the thing made should say of its maker,
“He did not make me”;
or the thing formed say of him who formed it,
“He has no understanding”?
Isaiah 44:25
25who frustrates the signs of liarsand makes fools of diviners,
mwho turns wise men back
and makes their knowledge foolish,
Romans 1:21-22
21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they nbecame futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 oClaiming to be wise, they became fools,1 Corinthians 1:19-20

and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 qWhere is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? rHas not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
