Isaiah 2:11-12

11 aThe haughty looks of man shall be brought low,
and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled,
and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.
12 bFor the Lord of hosts has a day
against all that is proud and lofty,
against all that is lifted up—and it shall be brought low;

Isaiah 60:14

Ezekiel 17:24

Daniel 4:37

Daniel 5:23-30

 Mene sounds like the Aramaic for  numbered
the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end;
27Tekel, wyou have been weighed
 Tekel sounds like the Aramaic for  weighed
in the balances and found wanting;
28Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to ythe Medes and zPersians.”
 Peres (the singular of  Parsin) sounds like the Aramaic for  divided and for Persia


29Then abBelshazzar gave the command, and Daniel acwas clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 adThat very night aeBelshazzar the afChaldean king was killed.

Acts 9:4-6

4And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting agme?” 5And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, I am Jesus, ahwhom you are persecuting. 6But airise and enter the city, and you will be told ajwhat you are to do.”
