Isaiah 23:15-17

15In that day Tyre will be forgotten for aseventy years, like the days
Or lifetime
of one king. At the end of cseventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the prostitute:

16 Take a harp;
go about the city,
O forgotten prostitute!
Make sweet melody;
sing many songs,
that you may be remembered.”
17At the end of dseventy years, the Lord will visit Tyre, and she will return to her wages and ewill prostitute herself with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.

Isaiah 47:9

9 fThese two things shall come to you
in a moment, gin one day;
the loss of children and widowhood
shall come upon you in full measure,
hin spite of your many sorceries
and the great power of your enchantments.

Isaiah 47:12-13

12 iStand fast in your enchantments
and your many sorceries,
with which you have labored from your youth;
perhaps you may be able to succeed;
perhaps you may inspire terror.
13You are wearied with your many counsels;
let them stand forth and save you,

who at the new moons make known

The Great Prostitute and the Beast

1Then kone of the seven angels who had lthe seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of mthe great prostitute nwho is seated on many waters, 2 owith whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and pwith the wine of whose sexual immorality qthe dwellers on earth have become drunk.” 3And rhe carried me away in the Spirit sinto a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on ta scarlet beast that was full of ublasphemous names, and vit had seven heads and ten horns. 4The woman wwas arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned xwith gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand ya golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 5And on her forehead was written a name of zmystery: aaBabylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.”

23and the light of a lamp
will shine in you no more,
and amthe voice of bridegroom and bride
will be heard in you no more,
