Isaiah 23:8

8Who has purposed this
against Tyre, the bestower of crowns,
whose merchants were princes,
whose traders were the honored of the earth?

Ezekiel 27:24-25

24In your market these traded with you in choice garments, in clothes of ablue and bembroidered work, and in carpets of colored material, bound with cords and made secure. 25 cThe ships of dTarshish traveled for you with your merchandise. So you were filled and heavily laden ein the heart of the seas.

33When your wares came from the seas,
fyou satisfied many peoples;
with your abundant wealth and merchandise
gyou enriched the kings of the earth.
34Now hyou are wrecked by the seas,
in the depths of the waters;
your merchandise and all your crew in your midst
have sunk with you.

3For all nations have drunk

And tall shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off
18and ucried out vas they saw the smoke of her burning,

wWhat city was like the great city?”
19And they threw xdust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out,

Alas, alas, for the great city
ywhere all who had ships at sea
grew rich by her wealth!
