Isaiah 24:10-12

10 aThe wasted city is broken down;
bevery house is shut up so that none can enter.
11 cThere is an outcry in the streets for lack of wine;
dall joy has grown dark;
the gladness of the earth is banished.
12Desolation is left in the city;
the gates are battered into ruins.

Isaiah 27:10

10 eFor the fortified city is solitary,
a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness;
there the calf grazes;
there it lies down and strips its branches.

Isaiah 32:13-14

13 ffor the soil of my people
growing up in thorns and briers,
gyes, for all the joyous houses
in the exultant city.
14For the palace is forsaken,
the populous city deserted;
the hill and the watchtower
will become dens forever,
ha joy of wild donkeys,
a pasture of flocks;

Isaiah 40:6-8

The Word of God Stands Forever

6 A voice says, “Cry!”
And I said,

jAll flesh is grass,
and all its beauty
Or  all its constancy
is like the flower of the field.
7The grass withers, the flower fades
when the breath of the Lord blows on it;
surely the people are grass.
8 lThe grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.

Isaiah 66:6

6 “The sound of an uproar from the city!
A sound from the temple!
The sound of the Lord,
mrendering recompense to his enemies!

Jeremiah 19:11-13

11and shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: So will I break this people and this city, nas one breaks a potter’s vessel, oso that it can never be mended. pMen shall bury in Topheth because there will be no place else to bury. 12Thus will I do to this place, declares the Lord, and to its inhabitants, making this city qlike Topheth. 13The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judahrall the houses on whose sroofs offerings have been offered tto all the host of heaven, and udrink offerings have been poured out to other gods—shall be defiled vlike the place of Topheth.’”

Micah 3:12

12Therefore because of you
wZion shall be plowed as a field;
Jerusalem xshall become a heap of ruins,
