are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth!
18 ^cHe who flees at the sound of the terror
shall fall into the pit,
and he who climbs out of the pit
shall be caught in the snare.
For ^dthe windows of heaven are opened,
and ^ethe foundations of the earth tremble.

Amos 5:19

19 ^fas if a man fled from a lion,
and a bear met him,
or went into the house and leaned his hand against the wall,
and a serpent bit him.

Amos 9:1-3

The Destruction of Israel

1 I saw the Lord standing beside ^{▼▼Or on} the altar, and he said:

and those who are left of them I will kill with the sword;

from there I will search them out and take them;
^qand if they hide from my sight at the bottom of the sea,
there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them.

Luke 17:34-37

34 I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. 35 ^rThere will be two women ^sgrinding together.
