the host of heaven, in heaven,
and athe kings of the earth, on the earth.
22 bThey will be gathered together
as prisoners in a pit;
they will be shut up in a prison,
and after many days cthey will be punished.

Ezekiel 22:19-21

19Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20As one gathers silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into a furnace, dto blow the fire on it in order to melt it, so I will gather you ein my anger and in my wrath, and I will put you in and melt you. 21I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst of it.

Ezekiel 24:3-11

3And futter a parable to gthe rebellious house and say to them, Thus says the Lord God:

Set on hthe pot, set it on;
pour in water also;
4put in it the pieces of meat,
all the good pieces, ithe thigh and the shoulder;
fill it with choice bones.
5Take the choicest one of the flock;
pile the logs
Compare verse 10; Hebrew  the bones
under it;
boil it well;
seethe also its bones in it.
6Therefore thus says the Lord God: kWoe to the bloody city, to lthe pot whose corrosion is in it, and whose corrosion has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, without making any choice.
Hebrew no lot has fallen upon it
7For the blood she has shed is in her midst; she put it on nthe bare rock; oshe did not pour it out on the ground to cover it with dust. 8To rouse my wrath, to take vengeance, I have set on the bare rock the blood she has shed, that it may not be covered. 9Therefore thus says the Lord God: Woe to the bloody city! pI also will make the pile great. 10Heap on the logs, kindle the fire, boil the meat well, mix in the spices,
Or empty out the broth
and let the bones be burned up.
11Then set it empty upon the coals, that it may become hot, and its copper may burn, rthat its uncleanness may be melted in it, its corrosion consumed.
