Ezekiel 25:8-11

Prophecy Against Moab and Seir

8 “Thus says the Lord God: Because ^dMoab and ^eSeir ^{▼▼Septuagint lacks and Seir} said, ‘Behold, the ^ghouse of Judah is like all the other nations,’ 9 therefore ^hI will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities, from its cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, ⁱBeth-jeshimoth, ^jBaal-meon, and ^kKiriathaim. 10 I will give it ^lalong with the Ammonites ^mto the people of the East as a possession, ⁿthat the Ammonites may be remembered no more among the nations, 11 ^oand I will execute judgments upon Moab. ^pThen they will know that I am the Lord.

Amos 2:1-2

1 Thus says the Lord:

^q“For three transgressions of ^rMoab,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, ^{▼▼Hebrew I will not turn it back; also verses 4, 6}
because ^the burned to lime
the bones of the king of Edom.
2 So I will send a fire upon Moab,
and it shall devour the strongholds of ^uKerioth,
and Moab shall die amid uproar,
amid shouting and the sound of the trumpet;

Zephaniah 2:8-11

8 “I have heard ^vthe taunts of Moab
and ^wthe revilings of the Ammonites,
how they have taunted my people
and made boasts ^xagainst their territory.
9 Therefore, ^yas I live,” declares the Lord of hosts,
the God of Israel,
“Moab shall become ^zlike Sodom,
and the Ammonites ^aalike Gomorrah,
a land possessed by nettles and salt pits,
and a waste forever.
The remnant of my people shall plunder them,
and the survivors of my nation shall possess them.”
10 This shall be their lot in return ^abfor their pride,
because they taunted and boasted
against the people of the Lord of hosts.
11 The Lord will be awesome against them;
^acfor he will famish all the gods of the earth,
and ^adto him shall bow down,
each in its place,
all ^aethe lands of the nations.
