9 It will be said on that day,
“Behold, this is our God; ^awe have waited for him, that he might save us.
This is the Lord; we have waited for him;
^blet us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
10 For the hand of the Lord will rest ^con this mountain,
and ^dMoab shall be trampled down in his place,
as straw is trampled down in a dunghill. ^{▼▼The Hebrew words for dunghill and for the Moabite town Madmen (Jeremiah 48:2) sound alike}
11 ^fAnd he will spread out his hands in the midst of it
as a swimmer spreads his hands out to swim,
but the Lord ^gwill lay low his pompous pride together with the skill ^{▼▼Or in spite of the skill} of his hands.
12 And the high fortifications of his walls he will bring down,
lay low, and cast to the ground, to the dust.

Isaiah 26:11

11 O Lord, ⁱyour hand is lifted up,
but ^jthey do not see it.
Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed.
Let ^kthe fire for your adversaries consume them.

Isaiah 41:11-16

11 ^lBehold, all who are incensed against you
shall be put to shame and confounded;
those who strive against you
shall be as nothing and shall perish.
12 ^mYou shall seek those who contend with you,
but you shall not find them;
ⁿthose who war against you
shall be as nothing at all.
13 For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”
14 Fear not, you ^oworm Jacob,
you men of Israel!
I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord;
your ^pRedeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 43:14-17

14 Thus says the Lord,
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
^v“For your sake I send to Babylon

^xeven the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One,
the Creator of Israel, your King.”

^ywho makes a way in the sea,
a path in the mighty waters,
17 who ^zbrings forth chariot and horse,
army and warrior;
they lie down, they cannot rise,

Isaiah 49:25-26

25 For thus says the Lord:
^ac“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken,
and the prey of the tyrant be rescued,
for I will contend with those who contend with you,
and I will save your children.
26 ^adI will make your oppressors eat their own flesh,
and they shall be drunk ^aewith their own blood as with wine.
Then all flesh shall know
that ^afI am the Lord your Savior,
and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Isaiah 51:22-23

22 Thus says your Lord, the Lord,
your God ^agwho pleads the cause of his people:
“Behold, I have taken from your hand ^ahthe cup of staggering;
the bowl of my wrath you shall drink no more;
23 ^aiand I will put it into the hand of your tormentors,
^ajwho have said to you,
‘Bow down, that we may pass over’;

and like the street for them to pass over.”

Zephaniah 3:15

15 The Lord has taken away the judgments against you;
he has cleared away your enemies.
