Isaiah 26:19

19 aYour dead shall live; their bodies shall rise.
You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy!
For byour dew is a dew of light,

Ezekiel 37:1-14

The Valley of Dry Bones

1 cThe hand of the Lord was upon me, and dhe brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley;
Or plain; also verse 2
it was full of bones.
2And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. 3And he said to me, fSon of man, gcan these bones live?” And hI answered, “O Lord God, you know.” 4Then he said to me, iProphesy over these bones, and say to them, jO dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause kbreath
Or spirit; also verses 6, 9, 10
to enter you, and you shall live.
6 mAnd I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and ncover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, oand you shall know that I am the Lord.”

7So I prophesied pas I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, qa rattling,
Or  an earthquake (compare 3:12, 13)
and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
8And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But sthere was no breath in them. 9Then he said to me, tProphesy to the breath; prophesy, uson of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from vthe four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” 10So I prophesied was he commanded me, and xthe breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

11Then he said to me, ySon of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and zour hope is lost; aawe are indeed cut off.’ 12Therefore abprophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, acI will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And adI will bring you into the land of Israel. 13And aeyou shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. 14And afI will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; agI have spoken, and I will do it, declares the Lord.”

Daniel 12:2

Matthew 22:23-32

Sadducees Ask About the Resurrection

23The same day amSadducees came to him, anwho say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, 24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, aoIf a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.’ 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother. 26So too the second and third, down to the seventh. 27After them all, the woman died. 28In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.”

29But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, apbecause you know neither the Scriptures nor aqthe power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither armarry nor asare given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31And as for the resurrection of the dead, athave you not read what was said to you by God: 32 auI am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”

Luke 14:14

14and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid avat awthe resurrection of the just.”

Hebrews 11:35
