The Redemption of Israel
1In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong asword will punish bLeviathan the fleeing serpent, cLeviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay dthe dragon that is in the sea.Isaiah 37:29
29 eBecause you have raged against meand your complacency has come to my ears,
I will put my hook in your nose
and my bit in your mouth,
and fI will turn you back on the way
by which you came.’
Ezekiel 29:4-5
4I will gput hooks in your jaws,and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales;
and I will draw you up out of the midst of your streams,
with all the fish of your streams
that stick to your scales.
5 hAnd I will cast you out into the wilderness,
you and all the fish of your streams;
you shall fall ion the open field,
and jnot be brought together or gathered.
To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens
kI give you as food.
