Isaiah 28:24-26

24Does he who plows for sowing plow continually?
Does he continually open and harrow his ground?
25 aWhen he has leveled its surface,
does he not scatter dill, sow cumin,
and put in wheat in rows
and barley in its proper place,
and emmer
A type of wheat
as the border?
26 cFor he is rightly instructed;
his God teaches him.

to the tenants mto get his fruit.
35 nAnd the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and ostoned another. 36 pAgain he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. 37Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, qThis is the heir. Come, rlet us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39And they took him and sthrew him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 tWhen therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41They said to him, u“He will put those wretches to a miserable death and vlet out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”

John 4:35-38

35Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that ythe fields are white for harvest. 36Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that zsower and aareaper abmay rejoice together. 37For here the saying holds true, acOne sows and another reaps.’ 38I sent you to reap adthat for which you did not labor. Others have labored, aeand you have entered into their labor.”
