Isaiah 28:9-13

9 aβ€œTo whom will he teach knowledge,
and to whom will he explain the message?
Those who are weaned from the milk,
those taken from the breast?
10For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
line upon line, line upon line,
here a little, there a little.”
11 bFor by people of strange lips
and with a foreign tongue
the Lord will speak to this people,
12to whom he has said,
cβ€œThis is rest;
give rest to the weary;
and this is repose”;
yet they would not hear.
13And the word of the Lord will be to them
precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
line upon line, line upon line,
here a little, there a little,
dthat they may go, and fall backward,
and be broken, and snared, and taken.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

19For ethough I am free from all, fI have made myself a servant to all, that I might gwin more of them. 20 hTo the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. 21To ithose outside the law I became jas one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but kunder the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. 22 lTo the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. mI have become all things to all people, that nby all means I might save some. 23I do it all for the sake of the gospel, othat I may share with them in its blessings.
