18 ^bIf I say to the wicked, ^c‘You shall surely die,’ ^dand you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person ^eshall die for ^{▼▼Or in; also verses 19, 20} his iniquity, ^gbut his blood I will require at your hand.

Ezekiel 18:4

4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: ^hthe soul who sins shall die.

Ezekiel 18:20

20 ⁱThe soul who sins shall die. ^jThe son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. ^kThe righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, ^land the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

Ezekiel 18:24

24 ^mBut when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? ⁿNone of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for ^othe treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.

Ezekiel 18:26

26 ^pWhen a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die.

John 8:21

21 So he said to them again, ^q“I am going away, and ^ryou will seek me, and ^syou will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”
