and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right;

Amos 2:12

12 “But you made the Nazirites ddrink wine,
and commanded the prophets,
saying, e‘You shall not prophesy.’

Amos 7:13-16

13but fnever again prophesy at Bethel, for git is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a temple of the kingdom.”

Or am; twice in this verse
no prophet, nor a prophet’s son, but jI was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs.
15 kBut the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ 16 lNow therefore hear the word of the Lord.

Or returning from war

9The women of my people you drive out
from their delightful houses;
from their young children you take away
my splendor forever.
10 wArise and go,
for this is no xplace to rest,
because of yuncleanness that destroys
with a grievous destruction.
11If a man should go about and zutter wind and lies,
saying, “I will preach to you aaof wine and strong drink,”
