Some manuscripts For this is as the waters of Noah
to me:
as I swore that the waters of Noah

and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and imy covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

uand a fountain shall come forth from the house of the Lord
and water the Valley of vShittim.
19 wEgypt shall become a desolation
and xEdom a desolate wilderness,
yfor the violence done to the people of Judah,
because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 zBut Judah shall be inhabited forever,
and Jerusalem to all generations.
21 aaI will avenge their blood,
blood I have not avenged,

6For thus says the Lord of hosts: agYet once more, in a little while, ahI will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. 7And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and aiI will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. 8 ajThe silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. 9 akThe latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts.
