Isaiah 33:21

21But there the Lord in majesty will be for us
a place of abroad rivers and streams,
bwhere no galley with oars can go,
nor majestic ship can pass.

Ezekiel 27:26-34

26 “Your rowers have brought you out
into the high seas.
cThe east wind has wrecked you
in the heart of the seas.
27Your riches, your wares, your merchandise,
your mariners and dyour pilots,
eyour caulkers, your dealers in merchandise,
and all your men of war who are in you,
with all your crew
that is in your midst,
sink into the heart of the seas
fon the day of your fall.
28At the sound of the cry of your pilots
gthe countryside shakes,
29and down from their ships
hcome all who handle the oar.
The mariners and all the pilots of the sea
stand on the land
30 iand shout aloud over you
and cry out bitterly.
jThey cast dust on their heads
kand wallow in ashes;
31they lmake themselves bald for you
and put sackcloth on their waist,
and they weep over you in bitterness of soul,
with bitter mourning.
32In their wailing they mraise a lamentation for you
and lament over you:
nWho is like Tyre,
like one destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33When your wares came from the seas,
oyou satisfied many peoples;
with your abundant wealth and merchandise
pyou enriched the kings of the earth.
34Now qyou are wrecked by the seas,
in the depths of the waters;
your merchandise and all your crew in your midst
have sunk with you.

Acts 27:19

19And on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.

Acts 27:30-32

30And as the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, and had lowered rthe ship’s boat into the sea under pretense of laying out anchors from the bow, 31Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.” 32Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the ship’s boat and let it go.

Acts 27:40-41

40So they cast off the anchors and left them in the sea, at the same time loosening the ropes that tied the rudders. Then hoisting the foresail to the wind they made for the beach. 41But striking a reef,
Or sandbank, or crosscurrent; Greek place between two seas
tthey ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf.
