Isaiah 34:9-12

9 aAnd the streams of Edom
Hebrew her streams
shall be turned into pitch,
and her soil into sulfur;
her land shall become burning pitch.
10Night and day cit shall not be quenched;
dits smoke shall go up forever.
eFrom generation to generation it shall lie waste;
none shall pass through it forever and ever.
11 fBut the hawk and the porcupine
The identity of the animals rendered  hawk and  porcupine is uncertain
shall possess it,
the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.
hHe shall stretch the line of iconfusion
Hebrew formlessness
over it,
and the plumb line of emptiness.
12Its nobles—there is no one there to call it a kingdom,
and all its princes shall be nothing.

Jeremiah 49:16-18

16The horror you inspire has deceived you,
and the pride of your heart,
you who live in the clefts of the rock,
Or  of Sela

who hold the height of the hill.
Though you lmake your nest as high as the eagle’s,
I will bring you down from there,

declares the Lord.
17 mEdom shall become a horror. nEveryone who passes by it will be horrified oand will hiss because of all its disasters. 18 pAs when Sodom and Gomorrah and their qneighboring cities were overthrown, says the Lord, rno man shall dwell there, sno man shall sojourn in her.

Ezekiel 25:13-14

13therefore thus says the Lord God, tI will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it man and beast. And I will make it desolate; from uTeman even to vDedan they shall fall by the sword. 14And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom wby the hand of my people Israel, and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath, and xthey shall know my vengeance, declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 36:3-4

3therefore prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord God: Precisely because ythey made you desolate and crushed you from all sides, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and zyou became the talk and evil gossip of the people, 4therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God to aathe mountains and the hills, the ravines and the valleys, abthe desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become aca prey and derision to the rest of the nations all around,

Ezekiel 36:7

7Therefore thus says the Lord God: adI swear that the nations that are all around you aeshall themselves suffer reproach.

Ezekiel 36:9

9For afbehold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and agyou shall be tilled and sown.

Ezekiel 36:14-15

14therefore you shall no longer devour people and no longer bereave your nation of children, declares the Lord God. 15And I will not let you hear anymore ahthe reproach of the nations, and you shall no longer bear the disgrace of the peoples and no longer cause your nation to stumble, declares the Lord God.”
