36 aAnd the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

Isaiah 41:11-12

11 bBehold, all who are incensed against you
shall be put to shame and confounded;
those who strive against you
shall be as nothing and shall perish.

Jeremiah 25:31-33

31The clamor will resound to the ends of the earth,
for ethe Lord has an indictment against the nations;
fhe is entering into judgment with all flesh,
and the wicked he will put to the sword,

Behold, disaster is going forth

Jeremiah 51:42-44

42 mThe sea has come up on Babylon;
she is covered with its tumultuous waves.
43Her cities have become a horror,
na land of drought and a desert,
oa land in which no one dwells,
and through which no son of man passes.
44And I will punish pBel in Babylon,
and qtake out of his mouth rwhat he has swallowed.
sThe nations shall no longer flow to him;
tthe wall of Babylon has fallen.

Nahum 1:3-12

3 uThe Lord is slow to anger and vgreat in power,
and wthe Lord will by no means clear the guilty.
xHis way is in whirlwind and storm,

he dries up all the rivers;

9What aodo you plot against the Lord?
apHe will make a complete end;
trouble will not rise up a second time.
10For they are aqlike entangled thorns,
like drunkards as they drink;
arthey are consumed like stubble fully dried.
11From you came one
aswho plotted evil against the Lord,
a worthless counselor.
12 Thus says the Lord,
Though they are at full strength and many,
atthey will be cut down and pass away.
auThough I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you no more.

Zechariah 12:3-5

3 avOn that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. awAll who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And axall the nations of the earth will gather against it. 4 ayOn that day, declares the Lord, azI will strike every horse bawith panic, and its rider bbwith madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples bcwith blindness. 5Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’
