The Branch of the Lord Glorified
2In that day athe branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and bthe fruit of the land shall be the pride and honor of the survivors of Israel.Isaiah 11:1-5
The Righteous Reign of the Branch
1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of cJesse,and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
2And dthe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
eHe shall not judge by fwhat his eyes see,
or decide disputes by gwhat his ears hear,
4but hwith righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall istrike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and jwith the breath of his lips khe shall kill the wicked.
5Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and lfaithfulness the belt of his loins.
Isaiah 53:2
2For he grew up before him like a young plant,mand like a root out of dry ground;
nhe had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
Jeremiah 23:5-6
