Comfort for God’s People

1 aComfort, comfort my people, says your God.

Romans 15:13

13May the God of hope fill you with all bjoy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

2 Corinthians 1:4-6

4 cwho comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5For as we share abundantly in dChrist’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Or For as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, so also our comfort abounds through Christ
6 fIf we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
