Isaiah 40:3-4

^c“In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord;
^dmake straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 ^eEvery valley shall be lifted up,
and every mountain and hill be made low;
the uneven ground shall become level,
and the rough places a plain.

Isaiah 42:11-12

11 Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice,
the villages that ^fKedar inhabits;
let the habitants of ^gSela sing for joy,
let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord,
and declare his praise in ^hthe coastlands.
