Isaiah 40:9-11

The Greatness of God

9 Go on up to a high mountain,
O Zion, ^aherald of good news; ^{▼▼Or O herald of good news to Zion}
lift up your voice with strength,
O Jerusalem, herald of good news; ^{▼▼Or O herald of good news to Jerusalem}
lift it up, fear not;
say to the cities of Judah,
“Behold your God!”
10 ^dBehold, the Lord God comes with might,
and his arm rules for him;
^ebehold, his reward is with him,
and his recompense before him.
11 ^fHe will tend his flock like a shepherd;
^ghe will gather the lambs in his arms;
^hhe will carry them in his bosom,
and gently lead those that are with young.

Ezekiel 34:23-24

23 And ⁱI will set up over them one shepherd, ^jmy servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. 24 And ^kI, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. ^lI am the Lord; I have spoken.

Micah 5:4

4 And he shall stand ^mand shepherd his flock ⁿin the strength of the Lord,
