Isaiah 42:6-7

6I am the Lord; aI have called you
The Hebrew for  you is singular; four times in this verse
in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you cas a covenant for the people,
da light for the nations,
7 eto open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
ffrom the prison those who sit in darkness.

Isaiah 42:16

16 gAnd I will lead the blind
in a way that they do not know,
in paths that they have not known
I will guide them.

These are the things I do,
and I do not forsake them.

Isaiah 61:1-3

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

1 iThe Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has janointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
Or afflicted

he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and lthe opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Or  the opening [of the eyes] to those who are blind; Septuagint  and recovery of sight to the blind

2 nto proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,
oand the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
3to grant to those who mourn in Zion
pto give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
qthe oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
rthat they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, sthat he may be glorified.
Or  that he may display his beauty

the pregnant woman and she who is in labor, together;
a great company, they shall return here.

Matthew 9:28-30

28When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 yThen he touched their eyes, saying, zAccording to your faith be it done to you.” 30And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, aaSee that no one knows about it.”

Matthew 21:14

John 9:30-33

30The man answered, “Why, this is acan amazing thing! adYou do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31We know that aeGod does not listen to sinners, but afif anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. 32Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 agIf this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
