Isaiah 44:28

28who says of aCyrus, ‘He is bmy shepherd,
and he shall fulfill all my purpose’;
saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’
cand of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”

Isaiah 45:1-4

Cyrus, God’s Instrument

1 Thus says the Lord to dhis anointed, to Cyrus,
ewhose right hand I have grasped,
to subdue nations before him
and fto loose the belts of kings,
to open doors before him
that gates may not be closed:
2I will go before you
and glevel the exalted places,
Masoretic Text; Dead Sea Scroll, Septuagint  level the mountains

iI will break in pieces the doors of bronze
and cut through the bars of iron,
3 jI will give you the treasures of darkness
and the hoards in secret places,
that you may know that it is I, the Lord,
the God of Israel, kwho call you by your name.
4For the sake of my servant Jacob,
and Israel my chosen,
lI call you by your name,
mI name you, though you do not know me.

Isaiah 45:13

13 nI have stirred him up in righteousness,
oand I will make all his ways level;
phe shall build my city
qand set my exiles free,
not for price or reward,”
says the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 46:11

11 rcalling a bird of prey from the east,
the man of my counsel from a far country.
sI have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;
I have purposed, and I will do it.
