Isaiah 47:3

3Your nakedness shall be uncovered,
and your disgrace shall be seen.
I will take vengeance,
and I will spare no one.

Ezekiel 13:5

5 aYou have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the Lord.

Ezekiel 22:30

30 bAnd I sought for a man among them cwho should build up the wall dand stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

Hosea 13:8

8I will fall upon them elike a bear robbed of her cubs;
I will tear open their breast,
and there I will devour them like a lion,
fas a wild beast would rip them open.

Amos 5:4-15

4For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:

gSeek me and live;
5but do not seek hBethel,
and do not enter into iGilgal
or cross over to jBeersheba;
for kGilgal shall surely go into exile,
and lBethel shall come to nothing.”
6 mSeek the Lord and live,
nlest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph,
and it devour, with none to quench it for oBethel,
7O pyou who turn justice to wormwood
Or  to bitter fruit

and cast down righteousness to the earth!
8 He who made the rPleiades and Orion,
and turns deep darkness into the morning
and sdarkens the day into night,
who tcalls for the waters of the sea
uand pours them out on the surface of the earth,
vthe Lord is his name;
9 wwho makes destruction flash forth against the strong,
so that destruction comes upon the fortress.
10 xThey hate him who reproves yin the gate,
and they zabhor him who speaks the truth.
11Therefore because you aatrample on
Or  you tax
the poor
and you exact taxes of grain from him,
acyou have built houses of hewn stone,
but you shall not dwell in them;
adyou have planted pleasant vineyards,
but you shall not drink their wine.
12For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins
you who afflict the righteous, who aetake a bribe,
and afturn aside the needy agin the gate.
13Therefore he who is prudent will ahkeep silent in such a time,
aifor it is an evil time.
14 ajSeek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, akthe God of hosts, will be with you,
as you have said.
15 alHate evil, and love good,
and establish justice amin the gate;
anit may be that the Lord, the God of hosts,
will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Matthew 5:25

25 aoCome to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison.

Matthew 24:44-51

44Therefore you also must be apready, for aqthe Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45Who then is arthe faithful and aswise servant,
Greek bondservant; also verses 46, 48, 50
whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
46 auBlessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47Truly, I say to you, avhe will set him over all his possessions. 48But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master awis delayed,’ 49and begins to beat his fellow servants
Greek bondservants
and eats and drinks with aydrunkards,
50the master of that servant will come azon a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place bathere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
