1 Hear this, O house of Jacob,
^awho are called by the name of Israel,
and ^bwho came from the waters of Judah,
^cwho swear by the name of the Lord
and confess the God of Israel,
but not in truth or right.

Isaiah 65:16

16 so that he who ^dblesses himself in the land
shall bless himself by ^ethe God of truth,
and he who takes an oath in the land
shall swear by ^fthe God of truth;
^gbecause the former troubles are forgotten
and are hidden from my eyes.

Jeremiah 4:2
