Isaiah 49:21-22

21Then you will say in your heart:
Who has borne me these?
aI was bereaved and barren,
exiled and put away,
but who has brought up these?
Behold, I was left alone;
from where have these come?’”
22 Thus says the Lord God:
Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations,
band raise my signal to the peoples;
cand they shall bring your sons in their arms,
Hebrew  in their bosom

and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

Isaiah 54:1-5

The Eternal Covenant of Peace

1 eSing, O barren one, who did not bear;
break forth into singing and cry aloud,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of fthe desolate one gwill be more
than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.
2 hEnlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
3 iFor you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,
and your offspring will possess the nations
and will people the desolate cities.
4 Fear not, jfor you will not be ashamed;
be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced;
for you will forget the shame of your youth,
and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 kFor your Maker is your husband,
the Lord of hosts is his name;
land the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,
mthe God of the whole earth he is called.

Isaiah 60:1-5

The Future Glory of Israel

1 nArise, shine, for your light has come,
and othe glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 pAnd nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 qLift up your eyes all around, and see;
they all gather together, they come to you;
ryour sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
5Then you shall see and sbe radiant;
your heart shall thrill and exult,
Hebrew  your heart shall tremble and grow wide

because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
uthe wealth of the nations shall come to you.

Galatians 4:26-27

26But vthe Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. 27For it is written,

wRejoice, O barren one who does not bear;
break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor!
For the children of the desolate one will be more
than those of the one who has a husband.”
