Isaiah 49:5-6
5 aAnd now the Lord says,he bwho formed me from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him;
and that Israel might be gathered to him—
for cI am honored in the eyes of the Lord,
and my God has become my strength—
6he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
dI will make you eas a light for the nations,
that fmy salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God
18For the word of the cross is gfolly to hthose who are perishing, but to us iwho are being saved it is jthe power of God.2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3And even kif our gospel is veiled, lit is veiled to mthose who are perishing. 4In their case nthe god of this world ohas blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing pthe light of qthe gospel of the glory of Christ, rwho is the image of God.2 Thessalonians 2:10
10and with all wicked deception for sthose who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
