1 oSing, O barren one, who did not bear;
break forth into singing and cry aloud,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of pthe desolate one qwill be more
than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.
2 rEnlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;

and strengthen your stakes.
3 sFor you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,
and your offspring will possess the nations
and will people the desolate cities.

8 Who are these that fly like a cloud,
and amlike doves to their windows?
9For anthe coastlands shall hope for me,
aothe ships of Tarshish first,
apto bring your children from afar,
their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the Lord your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel,
because aqhe has made you beautiful.
10 arForeigners shall build up your walls,
and astheir kings shall minister to you;
for in my wrath I struck you,

and instead of iron I will bring silver;

bayou shall call your walls Salvation,
and your gates Praise.

for the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and beyour days of mourning shall be ended.
21 bfYour people shall all be righteous;
bgthey shall possess the land forever,

And from them blI will send survivors to the nations, to bmTarshish, bnPul, and boLud, who draw the bow, to bpTubal and bqJavan, brto the coastlands far away, bsthat have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations. 20 btAnd they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations buas an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord.
