The Compassion of the Lord

1 eCome, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
fcome, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2 gWhy do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
3Incline your ear, and come to me;
hhear, that your soul may live;
iand I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
jmy steadfast, sure love for kDavid.

48 rI am the bread of life. 49 sYour fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and tthey died. 50 uThis is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it vand not die. 51I am the living bread wthat came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give xfor the life of the world is ymy flesh.”

52The Jews then zdisputed among themselves, saying, aaHow can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of abthe Son of Man and drink his blood, you achave no life in you. 54Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood adhas eternal life, and aeI will raise him up on the last day. 55For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood afabides in me, and I in him. 57As agthe living Father ahsent me, and aiI live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58 ajThis is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread

the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
