The Vineyard of the Lord Destroyed
1 Let me sing for my belovedmy love song concerning his vineyard:
My beloved had aa vineyard
on a very fertile hill.

10 Like grapes in the wilderness,bI found Israel.
Like the first fruit on the fig tree
in its first season,
I saw your fathers.
But cthey came to Baal-peor
and dconsecrated themselves to the thing of shame,
and ebecame detestable like the thing they loved.
