Isaiah 5:13-14

13 Therefore my people go into exile
afor lack of knowledge;
Or without their knowledge

their chonored men go hungry,
Or die of hunger

and their multitude is parched with thirst.
14Therefore Sheol has eenlarged its appetite
and opened fits mouth beyond measure,
and the nobility of Jerusalem
Hebrew her nobility
and her multitude will go down,
her revelers and he who hexults in her.

Ezekiel 6:11-12

11Thus says the Lord God: iClap your hands jand stamp your foot and say, Alas, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, kfor they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence. 12 lHe who is far off shall die of pestilence, and he who is near shall fall by the sword, and he who is left and is preserved shall die of famine. mThus I will spend my fury upon them.

Ezekiel 7:13-14

13For nthe seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. oFor the vision concerns all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.
The meaning of this last Hebrew sentence is uncertain


14“They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but none goes to battle, qfor my wrath is upon all their multitude.
