Isaiah 5:19

19who say: a“Let him be quick,
let him speed his work
that we may see it;
let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near,
and let it come, that we may know it!”

Isaiah 28:15-22

15Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
and with Sheol we have an agreement,
when the boverwhelming whip passes through
it will not come to us,
for we have made clies our refuge,
and in falsehood we have taken shelter”;
16therefore thus says the Lord God,
dBehold, I am the one who has laid
Dead Sea Scroll  I am laying
as a foundation fin Zion,
a stone, a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation:
‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’
17And I will make justice gthe line,
and righteousness hthe plumb line;
and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
and waters will overwhelm the shelter.”
18Then iyour covenant with death will be annulled,
and your agreement with Sheol will not stand;
when the overwhelming scourge passes through,
you will be beaten down by it.
19As often as it passes through it will take you;
jfor morning by morning it will pass through,
by day and by night;
and it will be ksheer terror to understand the message.
20For the bed is too short to stretch oneself on,
and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in.
21For the Lord will rise up las on Mount Perazim;
mas in the Valley of nGibeon he will be roused;
to do his deedstrange is his deed!
and to work his workalien is his work!
22Now therefore do not oscoff,
lest your bonds be made strong;
for I have heard pa decree of destruction
from the Lord God of hosts against the whole land.

Malachi 3:1-2

1 wBehold, I send xmy messenger, and yhe will prepare the way before me. And the Lord zwhom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and aathe messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. 2But abwho can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For ache is like a refiner’s fire and like fullerssoap.
