Isaiah 5:2-4

2He dug it and cleared it of stones,
and planted it with achoice vines;
he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
and hewed out a wine vat in it;
and bhe looked for it to yield grapes,
but it yielded wild grapes.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem
and men of Judah,
judge between me and my vineyard.
4 cWhat more was there to do for my vineyard,
that I have not done in it?
dWhen I looked for it to yield grapes,
why did it yield wild grapes?

Jeremiah 2:21

21 eYet I planted you a choice vine,
wholly of pure seed.
fHow then have you turned degenerate
and become a wild vine?

Matthew 7:16-20

16You will recognize them gby their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, hevery healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 iEvery tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them jby their fruits.

Matthew 12:33

A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit

33 kEither make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, lfor the tree is known by its fruit.

Luke 6:43-44

A Tree and Its Fruit

43For mno good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44for neach tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.

Romans 11:16-18

16 oIf the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17But if psome of the branches were broken off, and you, qalthough a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root
Greek root of richness; some manuscripts richness
of the olive tree,
18do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.
