Isaiah 5:26-30

26 He will araise a signal for nations far away,
and bwhistle for them cfrom the ends of the earth;
and behold, quickly, speedily they come!
27 dNone is weary, none stumbles,
none slumbers or sleeps,
not a waistband is loose,
not a sandal strap broken;
28 etheir arrows are sharp,
all their bows bent,
their horseshoofs seem like flint,
and their wheels flike the whirlwind.
29Their roaring is like a lion,
like young lions they roar;
they growl and gseize their prey;
they carry it off, and none can rescue.
30They will growl over it on that day,
like the growling of the sea.
And if one looks to the land,
behold, hdarkness and distress;
and the light is darkened by its clouds.

Habakkuk 1:6-10

6For behold, kI am raising up the Chaldeans,
that bitter and hasty nation,
lwho march through the breadth of the earth,
mto seize dwellings not their own.
7They are dreaded and fearsome;
ntheir justice and dignity go forth from themselves.
8 oTheir horses are swifter than leopards,
more fierce than pthe evening wolves;
their horsemen press proudly on.
Their horsemen come from afar;
qthey fly like an eagle swift to devour.
9They all come rfor violence,
all their faces forward.
They gather captives slike sand.
10At kings they scoff,
and at rulers they laugh.
tThey laugh at every fortress,
for uthey pile up earth and take it.
