Isaiah 5:26-30

26 He will ^araise a signal for nations far away,
and ^bwhistle for them ^cfrom the ends of the earth;
and behold, quickly, speedily they come!
27 ^dNone is weary, none stumbles,
none slumbers or sleeps,
not a waistband is loose,
not a sandal strap broken;
28 ^etheir arrows are sharp,
all their bows bent,
their horses’ hoofs seem like flint,
and their wheels ^flike the whirlwind.
29 Their roaring is like a lion,
like young lions they roar;
they growl and ^gseize their prey;
they carry it off, and none can rescue.
30 They will growl over it on that day,
like the growling of the sea.
And if one looks to the land,
behold, ^hdarkness and distress;
and the light is darkened by its clouds.

Isaiah 13:2-5

2 On a bare hill ⁱraise a signal;
cry aloud to them;
wave the hand for ^jthem to enter
the gates of the nobles.
3 I myself have commanded my consecrated ones,
and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger,
my proudly exulting ones. ^{▼▼Or those who exult in my majesty}
4 The sound ^lof a tumult is on the mountains
as of a great multitude!
The sound of an uproar of kingdoms,
of nations gathering together!
^mThe Lord of hosts is mustering
a host for battle.
5 ⁿThey come from a distant land,
from the end of the heavens,
the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,

Jeremiah 5:10

10 ^p“Go up through her vine rows and destroy,
^qbut make not a full end;
strip away her branches,
for they are not the Lord’s.

Jeremiah 51:27-28

27 ^r“Set up a standard on the earth;
^sblow the trumpet among the nations;
^tprepare ^uthe nations for war against her;
summon against her ^vthe kingdoms,
^wArarat, Minni, and ^xAshkenaz;
appoint a ^ymarshal against her;
^zbring up horses like bristling locusts.
28 ^aaPrepare ^abthe nations for war against her,
the kings of ^acthe Medes, ^adwith their governors ^aeand deputies,
and every ^afland under their dominion.

Joel 3:9

9 Proclaim this among the nations:
^agConsecrate for war; ^{▼▼Or Consecrate a war}
stir up the mighty men.
Let all the men of war draw near;
let them come up.
