Isaiah 5:3-4

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem
and men of Judah,
judge between me and my vineyard.
4 aWhat more was there to do for my vineyard,
that I have not done in it?
bWhen I looked for it to yield grapes,
why did it yield wild grapes?

Jeremiah 3:19

19 “‘I said,
How I would set you among my sons,
and give you a pleasant land,
a heritage most beautiful of all nations.
And I thought you would ccall me, My Father,
and would not turn from following me.

Jeremiah 5:7

7 dHow can I pardon you?
Your children have forsaken me

9 iShall I not punish them for these things?

declares the Lord;
and shall I not avenge myself
on a nation such as this?

23 jBut this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart;
they have turned aside and gone away.

for what else can I do, mbecause of my people?

8 How can I give you up, O Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, O Israel?
nHow can I make you olike Admah?
How can I treat you plike Zeboiim?
qMy heart recoils within me;
my compassion grows warm and tender.

Luke 13:7-9

7And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. rCut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”

Luke 19:41-42

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 sAnd when he drew near and saw the city, the wept over it, 42saying, uWould that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now vthey are hidden from your eyes.
